Pathogens

What are Pathogens?
Salmonella, E.Coli, and Listeria are bacteria that in some cases may be pathogenic. By definition, a pathogen is a bacteria (or other substance) that is capable of causing illness or death. Alternatively, a bacteria is a unicellular organism that may or may not be pathogenic. The FDA does not make a distinction between bacteria vs pathogenic bacteria.
